
Robin R. “Rob” Ross, age 67 of the Town of Herman, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 24, 2019, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano.
Rob was born on September 11, 1951 in Appleton, a son of the late Robert and Sandra (Meyer) Ross. He attended and graduated from Gresham High School. Through the years Rob worked in the construction business. He was a skilled carpenter by trade for over 25 years. He then worked for ten years as an assembler for Greenheck Fan Corp. until retiring in 2016. On June 3, 2000, Rob married Karen Habeck at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church in the Town of Richmond.
Rob’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, and building full log homes. He especially enjoyed spending time on the hobby farm with his special buddies, his horse Faith, his cat Milo, and his barn cat Shadow. For many years he was into his motorcycle and was a member of the Harley Davidson group, Wolf River Hog Chapter. Rob was known for his hard work ethic, and for lending a hand to anyone in need.
Left to cherish Rob’s memory are his wife, Karen; son, Tony (Jamie) Ross, and their five children, Jeremiah, Josiah, Abigail, Lydia, and Ariel; daughter, Stacy Guestschow; son, Tim (Renee) Ross, and their two children, Evelyn and Jay’R; daughter Sara (James) Graese, and their two children, Shilo and Nevin; and daughter Christina (Adam) Spratlin, and their three children, Parker, Aidan, and Carter. He is further survived by his sisters, Vickie (Bill) Paiser and Kris Metoxen; brother, Patrick (Paula) Metoxen; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Becky Kabke, and his brother, Karl Stueck.
A funeral service for Rob Ross will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano. Deacon James Lonick will officiate. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until the time of service.
