Sixteen vehicles traveling on Interstate 41 Thursday morning were damaged when a piece of metal fell off a flatbed trailer. It was raining at the time and most of the damage was confined to blown-out tires. No injuries were reported. One of the other drivers flagged down the truck pulling that trailer and it returned to the scene. The company was cited for failing to secure the load.
