The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department reports a motorcycle rider was killed last weekend when he was hit by a stolen S-U-V which was being chased by police. The accident happened in Deer Park. The motorcyclist — 39-year-old Dustin Kalland of Stillwater, Minnesota — was killed. Charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and operating while suspended causing death are expected to be filed against 37-year-old Brandon Lieffring of New Richmond today (Monday) or tomorrow.
