
On Saturday, July 06, 2019 at 6:26 PM, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch
Center received a report of a male who had fallen off a raft into the water and did not resurface
on Anderson Lake located in the Town of Breed, Oconto County, Wisconsin.
A search team consisting of Sheriff’s Deputies, Wardens, Divers and First Responders deployed
and searched the area where the male was last observed. At approximately 8:17 PM, a 38 year
old male from Green Bay was located and removed from the lake, deceased.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the following agencies for their
assistance: Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Brazeau Dive Team, Shawano
County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team, Suring Fire Department, Mountain Fire Department, Gillett
Area Ambulance, and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office.
This incident remains under investigation by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office and the Brown
County Medical Examiner’s Office.
