A fifth man convicted in a high-profile Green Bay murder case in 1992 is now a free man. Seventy-one-year-old Michael Johnson was released today (Wednesday) from the Sanger B. Powers Correctional Center in Oneida. Johnson was one of six people convicted in the killing of Tom Monfils at a paper mill. His release comes 24 hours after co-defendant Rey Moore was released from the Waupun Correctional Institute. Johnson and Moore served 24 years of their sentences and the parole board granted their release. That leaves just one of the men still in prison and Keith Kutska is eligible for parole in May of 2021.
