A convicted killer in Portage County won’t be eligible for parole until he has served 25 years. Steve Breneman was given a life sentence last Friday. He had been found guilty of killing 45-year-old Donald Brewer on his front porch while Brewer’s children were watching. Breneman had gone to confront Brewer in the Town of Almond last year because the victim was having an affair with Brewer’s wife.
