In a phone call sent out to parents in the Hortonville School District, officials said that a ten year old from the district was killed when the vehicle the child was riding in collided with a bus early this morning.
The child, a Kaukauna resident, was a passenger in a car driving toward Hortonville on State 15 when the crash took place.
The car rear-ended a pickup truck stopped in traffic on State 15, then drove into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by a school bus heading the other direction.
A Hortonville Area SD bus was involved in an accident on Highway 15 at about 8am this morning. There were no children on the bus at the time of the accident. Law enforcement & EMS services are at the scene. Hortonville Police say Highway 15 is closed from Greendale to County Highway JJ. HASD will communicate as further information becomes available.
