On April 29th, 2019 the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office and Oconto Police Department arrested Brian A. Blasing (29) and Chasity M. Denny (29), both of Oconto, for 1st Degree Reckless Homicide – Delivery of Drugs for the death of Jeffery D. Pecha on September 12th, 2018. The two are also charged with Delivery of Heroin for the same incident. Further charges are pending for items located during the April 29th arrest. Blasing and Denny are currently incarcerated at the Oconto County Jail and the case is being The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office is affiliated with the Northeast Tri-County Drug Enforcement Group (NETDEG) and was assisted by other agencies that are a part of NETDEG during this investigation, including the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and the Marinette Police Department. We were also assisted by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Appleton Regional Office, Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory in Madison.
