Thirty-seven years after she was killed, the husband of Barbara Mendez has been convicted on a charge of first-degree intentional homicide. The prosecution had told the court Robin Mendez committed the murder because he was having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl. The victim was found dead at her Park City Credit Union workplace. His attorneys argued the defendant was a sex offender, but not a murderer, saying there wasn’t proof beyond a reasonable doubt that he committed the crime back in 1982.
