Esther M. Reedy, 89, of Gresham, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 29, 2019. Esther was born on July 12, 1929, in Shawano, to the late Charles and Hildegard (Timm) Buth. Esther married Cecil Reedy on July 11, 1959 in Milwaukee. Cecil preceded Esther in death on September 1, 2014. Esther and Cecil had moved to Gresham in 1969 and were long time residents. Esther was a member of River Valley Church in Shawano and a member of the Woman’s Legion Auxiliary.
Esther is survived by: her children, Lynda (Martin) Shadd of Raymond, Karen Reedy of Gresham, Paul (Teresa) Reedy of Stoughton, and David Reedy of Shawano; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, John (Lillian) Buth of Milwaukee, Jim Buth of Shawano, Arlene Martin of Shawano, Arthur Buth of Wyoming, and Sharon (Dennis) Ready of Gresham.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Michael; two sisters; and one brother.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at River Valley Church in Shawano with the Rev. Dan Taylor officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Leopolis. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
