The man who coached Sam and Joey Hauser in basketball at Stevens Point Area Senior High School says he was surprised when his former stars decided to transfer. The Hauser brothers are leaving the Marquette University basketball program, with possible new homes including national champion Virginia or the local favorite, Wisconsin. Fifty-two-year-old former SPASH basketball coach Scott Anderson tells U-S-A Today Network-Wisconsin it’s apparent “something isn’t quite right,” for the Hauser brothers. Anderson says his former players never told him they were unhappy at Marquette and they talked multiple times.
