Two people are dead following a head-on crash on Monday around 8:44 p.m. on Highway 116 at Harbor South Street. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says each vehicle was occupied by only the driver. Highway 116 was closed between County Highway S and County Highway M for nearly three hours while the crash was investigated and cleaned up. The names of the victims are not being released at this time pending notification to the family. No other information has been released at this time.
