Madison police are calling it one of the quickest apprehensions of a bank robber in the department’s history. Officers had suspect Andrew E. Dailey in custody with a bag of money from Old National Bank just three minutes after the stick-up was reported. Several officers were located just a block away and, when Dailey saw a squad car pull up, he started running. The charge against Dailey would likely be robbery of a financial institution by use of force or threat.
