A jury in Portage County has found a man guilty of killing his neighbor. The court was told Steven Breneman had threatened to kill the victim several times. Forty-five-year-old Donald Brewer’s body was found on the porch of his home last May. Brewer’s sons, ages 12 and 14, witnessed the shooting and identified Breneman as the shooter. They used their father’s truck to drive to a nearby business to get help. Breneman ran away but was taken into custody about an hour later.
