She was born on April 27, 1928 in Oconto to the late Milton and Clara (Norton) Krueger. Helen graduated from Shawano High School. She married Howard Hintz on March 27, 1948 in Shawano. Through the years she worked at several different places, but worked at Great Lakes Shoe Co. as a supervisor for many years. In her free time, Helen enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and cooking for them.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Darwin (Sandy) Hintz of Winter, WI, Wanda Collins of Cecil, and Pam (Mike) Frakes of Eureka, KS; eleven grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; her brothers, Mike (Sandra) Krueger and Wesley (Bonnie) Krueger; her sister, Patricia Murphy; special friend, Judy Mlsna; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her son, Douglas Hintz; her parents, Milton and Clara Krueger; brothers, Buck Krueger and Fred Krueger; and sisters, Mae Ebelt and Shirley Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall at Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano. Pastor Gail Irwin will conduct a prayer service, and encourage family and friends to share memories of Helen.
