His girlfriend says a 21-year-old La Crosse man consumed a half-liter of vodka before jumping off an overpass Sunday afternoon. Trevyn J. Sanders was impaled on his backside when he landed on a stick. Adding insult to injury, Sanders has two charges pending for bail jumping and one outstanding warrant. The girlfriend insisted on going to the hospital with Sanders, even though there was a no-contact bond condition in effect. The man’s blood alcohol content was more than double the legal limit. The extent of his injury hasn’t been released.
