A former Wisconsin teacher entered two no-contest pleas in two separate cases this week and was handed an eight-year prison sentence. Seventy-one-year-old Timothy Schmidt appeared before a Shawano County Circuit judge Tuesday. Schmidt had been accused of sexually assaulting a student and possession of child pornography. He faced more than 60 child porn charges after 41 had been dismissed. Schmidt had been a choir teacher at the Gresham Community School District.
