A petition drive is underway in Merrill to recall five of eight Alders on the common council. Mayor Derek Woellner would rather residents wait for the 20-20 spring election but is encouraged that they’re taking an active role
Mayor Woellner:
Woellner says the biggest issue that’s triggered the recall effort seems to be a recent mix up regarding city taxes for 20-19. Should the petition drive be successful, a recall election could take place as soon as June or July.
