The Wisconsin-based retail chain Shopko reports it wasn’t able to find a buyer and it will close the rest of its stores by June. The company is beginning to wind down its retail operations this week. It says five-thousand employees at 120 stores will be impacted by the decision. Shopko had filed for bankruptcy protection in January and had already closed some locations. It may be able to spin off its optical business.
