Parts of southern Wisconsin should be ready to deal with more flooding as spring rains start to fall. National Weather Service Meteorologist Jeff Makowski says that rain on top of record snowpack is going to push rivers over their banks.
Most of the state is under a flood watch. Communities along the Baraboo, Fox and Sugar Rivers are expected to see moderate to major flooding this week.
If you plan on heading down to the boys state basketball tournament today, be aware of potential driving hazards near Fond du Lac.
The Fond du Lac Police Department says the fire department is currently performing water rescues in the area of South Street and Western Avenue and 9th Street. They say flooding is occuring in low lying areas, and ice shoves are causing the Fond du Lac River to back up.
