A 24/7 Resource Homeless Shelter is now available for Waupaca County and surrounding rural communities. Waupaca County has one other homeless shelter, but it’s seasonal and only opens at night. Mission of Hope House has 21 beds available and priority is given to families. To help sustain the shelter there’s a community donation thrift store across the street called Bridge Thrift Store. The facility has several security systems including cameras, alarms and a metal detector. The location is also in walking distance to different amenities like grocery stores and parks. While the shelter provides refuge, education and resources, there’s also a mission to empower people to develop their own strengths.
