Former U-S Senator Herb Kohl says Wisconsin teachers “go the extra mile for their students.” Kohl has flash-funding more than a half-million dollars to educators who have signed up on the philanthropy website DonorsChoose-dot-org. The money will be used to buy educational supplies, technology, equipment and instruments, training and trips, plus food, clothing and hygiene products. Kohl served in the U-S Senate for 24 years and was the previous owner of the Milwaukee Bucks.
