A woman is under arrest after fabricating a hostage claim at a Rhinelander hotel. Police arrested 20-year-old Alyah Wayman on Wednesday for allegedly lying to officers that she was being held at gunpoint in the Rodeway Inn. She claimed that she’d hit the man over the head with a bottle to escape. Police arrested the man after he refused to follow instructions from responding officers. Wayman now faces charges of obstruction, disorderly conduct and underage drinking. Rhinelander police aren’t filing charges against the man she accused for holding her hostage.
