ShopKo in Clintonville will be losing its pharmacy but the Hometown Store will remain open. ShopKo announced it has filed voluntary petitions for court supervised financial restructuring under Chapter 11 Untied States Bankruptcy code. According to ShopKo they sold many of their retail pharmacies through the court ordered auction process. A total of 251 ShopKo stores will be shut down across the country with 42 of them in Wisconsin. ShopKo earlier announced it was closing its pharmacies in Seymour, Waupaca, Stevens Point, Plover, Shawano and Appleton. According to the ShopKo Web site they are restructuring as a result of excess debt and ongoing competitive pressures.
