The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin has elected members of their governing body to the Menominee Tribal Legislature. The members were sworn into office during the annual swearing and organizational meeting. Douglas Cox was re-elected as Chairman of the Menominee Tribe, Joan Delabrue was elected as Vice Chairperson and Pershing Frechette as Secretary. Gunnar Peters was elected on to the Tribal Council for the first time as Crystal Chapman Chevalier the outgoing Tribal Legislator chose not to seek re-election. The newly elected tribal legislators will serve a three year term and join the current elected officials Gary Besaw, Eugene Caldwell, Craig Corn, Ron Corn Sr., and Myrna Warrington.
