The New London Public Museum and the Grand Cinema Theater are teaming up to bring another classic movie to New London. Step back in time on Saturday, February 16th and enjoy the 1940 classic movie The Philadelphia Story on the big screen. The movie starts at 7 PM, tickets are only $3 per person and are on sale now at the museum. Bring your sweetheart, or grab a bunch of friends, then buy some popcorn and enjoy the movie! For those that don’t know what the movie is about The Philadelphia Story is a 1940 romantic comedy directed by George Cukor, starring Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, and James Stewart. Based on the Broadway play of the same name, the film is about a socialite whose wedding plans are complicated by the simultaneous arrival of her ex-husband and a tabloid magazine journalist.
