An Sobieski teen who faces four felony counts from a crash in which a 14-year-old Abrams girl was killed and another teen was seriously hurt will have a preliminary hearing set in February. Cade J. Wied, 18, was charged with second-degree homicide, second-degree reckless injury, knowingly operate a motor vehicle while suspended-cause death and knowingly operate a motor vehicle while suspended-cause injury. The charges carry maximum sentences or 25, 12 1/2, six and three-and-a-half years, respectively. Wied was also charged with obstructing an officer for allegedly attempting to mislead investigators over who was driving. Wied made his initial appearance and his bond is set at $25,000 cash. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 22.
