Beginning next season, a football coach whose team makes the playoffs can sleep in Saturday morning. For the past seven years part of the scramble of getting ready for the playoffs involved coaches traveling to a seed meeting where the pecking order for their quarter of the bracket would be determined. Starting next fall, a computer will take care of that. The WIAA Board of Control unanimously approved the automated seeding of the quadrants of its playoff field for each division. Traditionally the playoff brackets are released the Saturday afternoon after the final Friday of the regular season. By seeding them electronically, they’ll probably come out sometime between 1 and 2 a.m. Saturday.
