Walter M. “Wally” Mueller, age 89, of Clintonville, formerly of Bonduel, went to our Savior and Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Born on November 15, 1929 in Shawano, Wally was the youngest of six children born to the late Herman and Martha (Luepker) Mueller. Wally married the love of his life, Miriam Carol “Mim” Keuer, on a -30 degree day on February 3, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. Wally farmed in Shawano County his entire life. He was a pioneer in the local farming industry as he was the first farmer in the county to install an automatic milking parlor in his barn in 1959. Wally was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel where he held many congregational positions over the years. He was a long time basketball coach at St. Paul Lutheran School, moving on to refereeing both boys and girls basketball games as well as umpiring baseball and softball games. Wally was an active member of the local community serving on various boards and committees. He loved to play pinochle with the “pinochle group”, watch reruns of the old time comedy shows, and watch all of the Bonduel sports programs. He attended many Badger, Packer, and Brewer games throughout his life and he rarely missed a game on TV. He had a strong faith in God and was looking forward to spending eternal life in heaven with Mim.
