A send-off ceremony for 400 Wisconsin Army National Guard soldiers is being held Friday (10 A-M) at the Lambeau Field Atrium in Green Bay. Members of the Appleton-based 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry are deploying to Afghanistan this winter in support of the NATO-lead Resolute Support Mission. The Wisconsin troops will provide security for the 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade. The S-F-A-B will train and assist the Afghan National Security Forces. The 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry has deployed several times since the 9-11 terrorist attacks, including tours of Iraq in 2005-2006 and 2009-2010.
