Shawano and Waupaca County Sheriff’s department are blaming slippery roadways in two crashes that took place in the past 24 hours. Shawano County investigated a multi vehicle crash on Highway 29 and Milemarker 218 near Rangeline Road area. Further information has not been released but law enforcement was on scene for just over an hour. Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a crash on Highway 110 North Bound and Lake Street. Information received is that the roads are expected to be closed for at least two hours. Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department also investigating a one vehicle crash when a 21 year old New London man lost control of his vehicle on Blueberry Road and Silver Lake Road in the town of Scandinavia, entered a ditch and went airborne overturning once. He was airlifted to a local hospital where he is recovering from serious injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in that crash..
