Officials have pulled the plug on a 2 million dollar dredging project for the pigeon pond in Clintonville. In October of this year the Pigeon Lake District residents voted to approve a $2 million dredging of the lake. But an attorney representing the Pigeon Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District said inadequate notice was given to voters, and confusion over who was and who wasn’t a tax paying member of the Lake District forced the decision to cancel the dredging project. The lake was drained for repairs to the dam and the dredging was considered because the buildup of sediment was leading to a loss of almost an inch of water per year.
