Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich edged Cubs infielder Javier Baez and Rockies third baseman Nolen Arenado to become the 2018 National League Most Valuable Player. Yelich was considered the frontrunner as the regular season ended. He led the league in batting average (.326), slugging percentage (.598) and O-P-S (1.000). Yelich also hit 36 home runs and drove in 110 runs, while hitting for the cycle in two separate games.
