The Milwaukee Brewers 40-man major league roster has six openings for post-season transactions after a pair of Wednesday announcements. The Brewers have exercised their team option on relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress for the 2019 season. He’ll make almost three-point-two-million dollars. Pitcher Jordan Lyles was paid a 250-thousand dollar buyout, making him a free agent, after Milwaukee took a pass on his three-and-a-half-million dollar option. Jeffress spent a portion of the season as Milwaukee’s closer, posting an earned run average of one-point-29.
