Officials with Oshkosh Corporation say there won’t be any layoffs associated with its decision to transfer some welding work on a new military vehicle to its Tennessee plant. The company blames lack of space for its decision to move the work. It promises to hire another 100 hourly workers for jobs to be posted next week. Some employees at the Oshkosh operation say workers transferred to other assignments had to take pay cuts of as much as 10 dollars-an-hour. The company disputes that figure.
