Fewer domestic violence incidents resulted in homicides last year, but 62 lives were still lost. The group End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin issued its 2017 report Monday at the start of October, which is domestic violence awareness month. Firearms were used in 70 percent of the cases and the report shows one-in-five domestic homicide involved an elderly victim. Wisconsin had 51 domestic homicide incidents during 2016. That number dropped to 40 last year.
