A 39-year-old Rhinelander man routinely stole $900 in cash from Remington Oil gas stations by listing it on the books as a refund for a company credit card, a scheme that pilfered at least $79,000 since April, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday. Aries Tatrow, 39, of Rhinelander, who managed three stores for the company, was charged with one felony – theft in a business setting of more than $10,000. A judge ordered him jailed on a $1,000 cash bond. A Remington Oil worker who examined company books told investigators that Tatrow had been doing the weekly “refunds” for seven years and “she believes the total of money taken by Tatrow would be worth several millions dollars,” the complaint said.
