The Suring Labor Day Parade Grand Marshals have been named for the 2018 event. Allen and Gloria Dickson were named by the Town of How. The parade starts at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, on Main Street in Suring. Allen and Gloria are known for their Christmas light display, which they have put up on the farm for more than 50 years. The display has at times reached more than 50,000 lights that have been enjoyed by the community as well as people that have driven from out of state to see them. Allen and Gloria were 4-H leaders of the Hayes 4-H Club for 25 years. They are 22-year members of the Suring Lions and Lioness clubs, of which they serve as treasurer and president, respectively.
