A business icon and an industry leader in manufacturing has passed away. Pat Crawford owner of Timbco and Timberpro in Shawano led a long life of dealing with timber and hauling from places like Oregon and logging from the Menominee Reservation. Crawford was the innovator of several machines that made logging easier not only in Wisconsin but in places like hillsides in West Virginia. Crawford was instrumental in making his community a home in his heart, he really was a genuine man that worked hard and gave to his family, friends and community, and donated money to build the often used Crawford Center and didn’t stand idly by with letting retirement get to him he still enjoyed coming back to the drawing board with new ideas. Crawford was 92 years old and even though he was retired he was still very active in his community, church and business. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
