The police officer who fatally shot a 25-year-old man, May 23 on the Fox Cities Trestle Trail is expected to return to work soon. Officer Seely Moe was cleared to return to work after drug testing and a psychological evaluation. Moe was put on administrative leave after he shot and killed Joshua Gomoll about two months ago. Moe and other officers were responding to a report that Gomoll had been threatening people with a knife near Fritse Park.The Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that Moe was justified in shooting Gomoll and no charges would be filed against him.
