The national weather service in Green Bay said parts of northeastern and central Wisconsin could see heat indexes reach nearly 107 degrees Friday. The hot and humid air is expected to stick around for Saturday as well. With the heat also comes the potential for thunderstorms across part of the state. In a special weather statement early this morning, the weather service said a warm front is expected to move into the area late Thursday night into Friday morning. This brings a chance of scattered strong thunderstorms t the area late Thursday night and also Saturday night. These high temperatures bring the increased chance of heat related illness so please take precautions.
