Francis A. “Max” Perryman, age 79 of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 20, 2018 at ThedaCare Medical Center-Appleton, with his wife, children, and grandchildren all by his side.
Max was born January 17, 1939 in Escanaba, MI, a son of the late Charles and Emma (Girard) Perryman. He attended school in Escanaba, MI, graduating from Escanaba High School in 1957. Following high school Max went to work for Sunstrand Corporation in Rockford, IL. On June 18, 1960 he was united in marriage to the former Charlotte Leisner at St. Paul Church in Hyde, MI. Following Max’s retirement, he and Charlotte moved to Shawano to be closer to their family in Escanaba. Max enjoyed stock car driving in his younger years, and continued to watch racing his entire life. He also liked snowmobiling, was an avid hockey fan, and enjoyed going to auctions.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Charlotte; four sons, Paul (Melissa), Jerry (Leah), Darin (Tracy), and Mark (Charity) Perryman; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Brittney), Madeline (Tyler), Thomas, Alexis, Emily, Gavin, Jenna, and Elizabeth Perryman two great-grandchildren, Harper and Maylie; his brothers and sister, Howie, Dolly, and Tom; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
A memorial service for Francis Perryman will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano. Rev. Dr. Timm Griffin will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are requested to support children in need of school supplies.
