The Wisconsin Department of Health Services and local health departments are working with U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to investigate a multistage outbreak of Salmonella infections linked tote consumption of Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal. To date, there has been one confirmed case of Salmonella infection in Wisconsin linked to this outbreak and a total of 73 confirmed cases nationwide. You should not eat any Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal in any size package. If you have this product in your home you should throw it away or return it to the place you purchased for a refund.
