The Gillett School Board plans to vote as soon as next month on bringing a $1.8 million referendum to district residents this fall. Board President Ron Lenz said the board believes that with the extra money, the district can address needed maintenance, and is hopeful of receiving state funds for safety and security items, under legislation signed into law by Governor Walker this year. The board survey found that half of Gillett district residents supported seeking $2.25 million in additional property taxes over three years to stave off major cuts in programs and services and address critical safety.security and maintenance needs for three years.
