This years Rhubarb Festival is going to celebrate Shawano’s history. The 10th annual Rhubarb Festival will be held by the Shawano County Historical Society on June 16th at Heritage Park on North Franklin Street. There will be plenty of food to try out and live music all day at the event which will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission into the historical society museum is free during the festival. This year’s theme of “Let’s party like its 1918” is to commemorate the end of World War One. A victory garden had been planted and visitors are encouraged to learn about the local war efforts and veterans who served.
