Two men with prior felonies face new charges. Nathan Lee Kobs, 29, Clintonville, and Brandon D. Ehlke, 22, Weyauwega, are charged with three counts of burglary and three counts of theft. Waupaca County Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Carl Artz investigated three burglaries from the previous night in the village of Embarrass. A resident of the 100 block of Grand Avenue reported that someone broke into his workshop and stole three shotguns, a camo backpack with knives and flashlights, a cordless drill and fishing rods. Two more burglaries were also reported on the 100 block of Main Street. Power tools, wrenches and other tools were stolen. A few days later Shawano police stopped a vehicle near a convenience store and arrested Kobs and Ehlke after they found three shotguns, fishing rods and several tools in the vehicle. Kobs is currently in custody on a $5,000 cash bond in Shawano County, where he was charged with a second drunken driving offense, operating after revocation, resisting an officer and four counts of felon in possession of a firearm. Ehlke was released from custody in Shawano County after posting a $2,500 cash bond.
