Police are continuing to investigate the attempted robbery of Family Dollar in Oconto Falls on March 17. The incident was reported just after closing time of 9 p.m. The suspect displayed a semiautomatic handgun and sprayed the clerk with pepper spray near the end of the robbery. The clerk was checked out by EMS, but did not seek any further medical attention. The suspect, who did not get any money, is described as five feet, nine inches to six feet tall with brown hair, brown eyes, and between 20 and 30 years old. Oconto Falls Police Chief Brad Olsen said the department is following up on several leads and video surveillance from area businesses.
