A Clintonville man is facing weapons-related charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 52 year old Joe L. Oppor was released on a 25-hundred dollar signature bond following felony charges of 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety and 2nd offense marijuana possession, along with two counts of intentionally point a firearm at another person, operate a firearm while intoxicated, and carrying a concealed weapon. The criminal complaint says police were called to a disturbance in Clintonville Saturday, where Oppor had allegedly broken a basement window into a home. As he was fleeing the area, he allegedly pointed a handgun at two people. When apprehended by police at gunpoint a short time later, he allegedly still had the gun, along with marijuana on him. If convicted, he could face up to 13 ½ years in prison. Oppor is on April 24th for an adjourned initial appearance.
