Financing for a proposed Waupaca County Highway Facility was given approval by the Waupaca County Board of Supervisors. On a vote of 23 to 1, the board approved general obligation bonds of 27.87 million dollars for the project. The main facility now is over 80 years old. The new 109-thousand square foot facility is to be built on a 43 acre parcel in the Town of Lind. The city of Waupaca is in the process of annexing the property into the city for the purpose of sewer and water. Officials hope to break ground his fall, with the project completion slated for the fall of 2019.
