The community is invited to give blood in honor of Brian Murphy at a special American Red Cross blood drive Thursday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ashwaubenon Community Center. Last July Officer Brian Murphy was on duty and assisting with a car fire on Interstate 41 when he was struck by another vehicle. Murphy suffered life-threatening injuries, received blood transfusions and required several surgeries. First responders like Murphy know the significance of having donated blood on the shelves to help during emergencies. This drive is in honor of Murphy and is a way to give back while honoring local first responders.
